Breastfeeding - Welcome Scheme
an easy way to say "welcome" to breastfeeding mothers

Welcome to Breastfeeding Welcome Scheme website

Did you know that most mothers stopped breastfeeding before they wanted or intended to because they had to return to work or felt uncomfortable doing so in public?

The National Breastfeeding Welcome Scheme aims to champion and improve the supports available to mothers to exercise their right to breastfeed their babies when they are out and about.

Many businesses and other venues have an open attitude to breastfeeding, but women have no way of knowing this. Becoming breastfeeding welcome and putting up the breastfeeding welcome signs and logos will let them know that they are welcome. It will promote your business or service and you will become part of a nationwide positive health campaign, what’s more it can be free!

Give us your feedback if you visit any of the venues listed on our site and would like to send us your comments please email info@breastfeedingwelcomescheme.org.uk

Breastfeeding Welcome Scheme is coordinated by the NCT who developed it on behalf of the Breastfeeding Manifesto Coalition (BMC) with the support of other BMC members. We are grateful to NHS Camden for their support for the pilot of the Breastfeeding Welcome Scheme.
